Jake Paul is back to stirring up headlines, throwing shade at WWE heavyweights Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens. He claimed he could defeat them if they ever stepped into a boxing ring with him. Paul was recently in the limelight after a highly anticipated boxing bout between him and Gervonta Davis was called off.
Jake Paul reveals the WWE stars he can defeat in boxing
The YouTuber-turned-boxer didn’t miss a beat when asked if he could take on WWE stars like Roman Reigns or Kevin Owens.
In a recent conversation with Jim Varsallone, Jake Paul instantly slipped into his trademark bravado and commented, “I don’t think they’d want that smoke. They’re amazing wrestlers — I don’t think I could take them [in wrestling] — I think Logan can take them. In the boxing ring, they’d get knocked the f**k out.”
In recent times, Paul has built a real name for himself in the boxing game. He has stacked wins against fighters like ex-UFC champs Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva, plus former NBA star Nate Robinson. However, he has had pretty limited run-ins with WWE so far.
The 27-year-old made a surprise appearance at Crown Jewel 2022. He was there to support his brother, Logan Paul, during a title match against Roman Reigns. Fans were excited by the same, with many wondering if this was a sign that he was joining the WWE roster next.
However, when asked about stepping into the ring full-time, Jake Paul previously told Newsweek that he doesn’t think his body is suitable for WWE. “I would be down to be Logan’s manager, Paul Heyman-style in WWE, but I don’t think my body is cut out for the athleticism and the madness that the WWE takes. I feel like I would break my back,” Paul stated.
Nevertheless, this hasn’t stopped fans from hoping that the Paul Brothers will form a team. Logan Paul is already dominating it in the WWE by winning the United States Championship. He has also gone toe-to-toe with heavy hitters like Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, and Seth Rollins. Additionally, Logan even has two wins over Owens.
Meanwhile, Jake Paul’s ability to sell fights rivals that of WWE’s biggest personalities. This seemingly makes a crossover all the more likely down the line.
