When she lets me, which isn’t all the time,” he revealed. The response brought a smile to Silva’s face, who further added, “Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Otherwise, it would be too easy, right?”
The discussion then shifted to the couple, revealing that they usually turn to Buddhism to resolve familial issues. Reflecting on how their mutual faith impacts parenting, Gere said, “Well, interesting you should bring that up, because we were just having a drama about one of our kids. [Alejandra] is always really good with [saying]: ‘OK, I know I want to strangle you right now, but I’m going to take a deep breath and we’re going to talk through this. OK, now what’s going on? I’d like to know what are you feeling.”
Silva further shared that patience forms the foundation of their faith. She emphasized the importance of introducing their children to their shared beliefs and helping them understand the significance it holds.
In a previous interview with Hola! Magazine, Silva gushed about her husband, saying that he came into her life as a light when she felt lost.
