Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry might have dated the same person in the past. In a recent appearance on the Smart Girl Dumb Questions podcast, American DJ and music producer Diplo claimed to have dated both Trudeau and Perry.

Diplo alleges that he has dated both Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau in the past. In an interview with the Smart Girl Dumb Questions podcast, the host and he were discussing his experience with Canada. At one point, the conversation veered toward ex-Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau and his current rumored girlfriend, Katy Perry.
The American DJ revealed, “And now Katy Perry is dating Justin Trudeau.” The host responded excitedly, “I know. Pretty fire. I know some people who like kind of.” Before the host could complete the sentence, Diplo interjected, stating, “Dated Katy Perry like me.”
The host picked up on the cue and asked the 46-year-old curiously, “Oh, did you date Katy Perry? I meant Trudeau.” Diplo confessed, “Oh, I did date Trudeau, too. That was a weird one though.” When the host asked why, Diplo remarked, “I’m not in the positions.”
Notably, a fan asked in the comment section if Trudeau really dated Diplo. The host replied, “lol!! no that part was a joke and the Fidel thing was not true tooooo.”
Trudeau married Sophie Grégoire in 2005, and the couple separated in 2023. Diplo dated Perry a decade ago in 2014. They hung out at Coachella and other industry events, but the romance was rather short-lived. (via Page Six)

An anonymous source confessed to Page Six that Trudeau is “crazy” about Perry and “thinks she is the perfect woman.”
