Oreo cookies are embracing the holiday spirit and have launched a new, limited-edition Thanksgiving item. It is a tin with fudge-dipped cookies. This seasonal pack will replace the usual cream-filled biscuits with six dinner-inspired flavors. This is an experiment by the brand that features some very bold flavors.
Oreo’s new Thanksgiving tin comes with different flavor cookies
The Oreo Thanksgiving tin contains two cookies of each flavor. These are Pumpkin Pie, Creamed Corn, and Caramel Apple Pie. They also have Cranberry Sauce, Turkey and Stuffing, and Sweet Potato. The brand describes the release of these cookies as an opportunity to try something new.
They wrote that “this flavor experiment is not your typical OREO indulgence, it’s a chance to try something unforgettable and help shape the future of flavor innovation.” (via Oreo.com)
The company is selling the set online for $19.99. Consumers can try out some of the flavors in smaller six-pack formats. As for the fans, the reactions to this new product are quite mixed. Some really want to have the collectible tin box. However, others are baffled by the savory cookie flavor.
One commenter wrote, “Keep everything else, I just want the can,” while another said, “Eho asked for this? Straight to jail.” Some fans joked about how the tin can could be useful for storing all their sewing essentials.
It is a running joke among Gen Z that their parents kept sewing materials inside the tin cookie boxes. A fan said, “Finally a tin I can put all my sewing needles and threads in ???,” and another echoed, “I need that tin, my sewing sh*t has nowhere to live.” Commenting on what they expect the taste to be, a user said, “PLEASE tell me this is fake. I do not want a turkey-flavored Oreo?”
Some fans also pointed out that the shipping cost for the box is nearly $20, in addition to the price. When adding both up, the buyers express how costly the whole thing has become.
