Jason Kelce recently traveled to Kansas City to not only attend ESPN’s Monday Night Football, where the Kansas City Chiefs scored a 28-7 victory against the Washington Commanders, but also check out Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ new restaurant, 1587 Prime. The former Philadelphia Eagles center dined at the steakhouse with his father, Ed Kelce, giving the eatery a positive review. Mahomes and Kelce co-founded the restaurant in partnership with Noble 33.
Jason Kelce gives a positive review of Travis Kelce’s restaurant
In the latest episode of their podcast, New Heights, Jason Kelce shared his review of Travis Kelce’s steakhouse 1587 Prime. “It’s fantastic,” the former said, describing his experience dining at the eatery. The latter revealed that Jason ordered almost everything recommended.
Jason recalled the food items he had ordered, suggested by the Kansas City Chiefs tight end: the hamachi, the A5 strip, and the lobster. Travis asked Jason if he had ordered the linguini, to which the latter replied that he didn’t. He added, “F**k, I knew I was forgetting something.” The former echoed the latter’s comment, saying, “Yeah, you were missing out on that one.”
The LII Super Bowl champion called the restaurant “a high-end, very well-done steakhouse.” “I did think it was interesting; there’s a lot more creativity to it,” he added.
Jason Kelce later revealed the other dishes he enjoyed at the restaurant, including the Big Red or Andy Reid burger, cheesesteak, and meatballs with picada. He also said he ordered the Big Yeti and Alchemy cocktails. These drinks are named after Travis Kelce and one of Taylor Swift’s songs. Jason recalled the Alchemy being “tasty.”
Further, Jason revealed he ordered Garage Beer, a beverage from the light beer company co-owned by him and Travis Kelce. Jason also shared how 1587 Prime evoked Travis Kelce’s identity in response to a podcast listener’s question about the same.
“I think the most Travis Kelce thing is it has a lot of regular food done at an upscale level,” he replied. “I always make fun of Travis a little bit for like, chicken fingers, cheeseburgers, grilled cheese.”
Jason recalled that the Happy Gilmore 2 actor “ate like a child” for years. “And now, we’re at a steakhouse and there are some childlike items that are done at like a really high level,” he further stated.
Travis Kelce encouraged viewers to check out the restaurant by listing all the great things it had to offer, including live music. Meanwhile, Jason advised getting reservations in advance, as getting seats at the restaurant wasn’t “easy.”
