In IShowSpeed’s latest series on YouTube, the streamer does pro athletes in a different game every episode. In the third episode that came out on October 29, Speed went head-to-head in an eating contest with competitive eater Joey Chestnut.
Now, after training with professionals for football and gymnastics in the first two episodes, Speed comes across a pro chugger in episode 3 who leaves him speechless.
IShowSpeed loses against professional chugger in soda drinking contest
Produced by OBB Media and presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods, episode 3 of IShowSpeed’s new YouTube series, Speed Goes Pro, is out now. In this episode, he takes on competitive eater Joey Chestnut in an eating contest.
However, before he can reach the final boss, Speed trains with other professionals of the sport first. He sits down with Miki Sudo, the queen of competitive eating, also ranked as the number 1 female competitive eater. She is also an undefeated champion of the Nathan’s hot dog eating contest for a record-breaking 11 years.
The first skill they worked on was capacity, for which Sudo explains Speed needs to drink a 2-liter bottle of soda, without releasing any of the carbonation. She told him that he should be able to drink all of it without burping once, if he has a capacity good enough to beat Joey Chestnut. However, after his first attempt, Speed, only able to drink around half a cup in one go, said, “That’s a lot of f*cking soda.”
Sudo grabs a bottle and takes a deep breath after Speed asks her to demonstrate the task at hand. Seeing Sudo down an entire bottle of soda in roughly half a minute, Speed gets out of his seat in awe. “I was like how the hell did you do that?”
Speed tells the cameras. “I’m like looking at her stomach, her arms, her legs, like, what is she doing that’s different?” The next scene then cuts to Speed holding half a bottle of soda, saying it’s been two hours and he’s still working on it.
