Glen Powell‘s ex-girlfriend Gigi Paris seems to be turning the page in her love life. She was recently spotted with former NFL tight end Cooper Helfet, making their first public appearance together in New York earlier this month. The sighting instantly sparked buzz online about the pair’s relationship and how long they’ve been seeing each other.
Gigi Paris debuts romance with Cooper Helfet
Gigi Paris and Cooper Helfet were spotted at the 2025 Angel Ball before grabbing a late-night dinner together (via PEOPLE). Helfet played tight end for the Seattle Seahawks between 2012 and 2015. Paris, who’s known for her modeling career, dated actor Glen Powell from 2020 to 2023.
Talking about their split, an insider told PEOPLE that “Gigi and Glen had broken up several times” and things had been rocky ever since Top Gun hit theaters. The source added that Gigi struggled with all the long-distance filming, and when she visited Glen in Australia, where he was shooting Anyone But You, they mutually decided to call it quits for good.
That timing also fueled rumors that the split had something to do with Glen’s rumored affair with his Anyone But You co-star, Sydney Sweeney. During Emma Klipstein’s Too Much podcast, Paris opened up about how things with Powell started falling apart nearly six months before they officially split. This was right around the time those Sydney Sweeney rumors started swirling.
Without naming names, she said she decided to walk away instead of pretending everything was fine, admitting it really hurt when Powell told her not to come visit him in Australia.
In his September 2025 conversation with GQ, Powell spoke about his ex, saying he still has a lot of “love” and “respect “for her and that everyone has their own side of a breakup story. Around the same time, Sweeney told Variety that she and Powell never meant to fuel any of the romance rumors that took off while they were filming together.
