Catherine Corcoran sues Terrifier producers with fraud and sexual harassment allegations
Terrifier actress Catherine Corcoran has filed a lawsuit against the film’s producers and director Damien Leone. She has accused them of fraud, sexual harassment, and breach of contract.
Filed in a California federal court, the lawsuit names production companies Dark Age Cinema, Fuzz on the Lens Productions, and Art the Clown, along with producer Phil Falcone and Leone himself, as defendants.
According to the complaint, Corcoran agreed to appear in the 2016 horror film for a minimal per diem rate. The rate was in exchange for one percent of the profits from the Terrifier franchise and related merchandise.
However, the actress claims her payments became irregular over the years. She has not received any royalties since July 2024. According to the complaint, repeated attempts to obtain financial records and payment explanations were met with dismissive responses (via Entertainment Weekly).
Corcoran’s now-infamous death sequence reportedly required her to be hung upside down for “over ten hours in below freezing temperatures” (via Variety). She also alleges that the filmmakers failed to obtain the written consent required under Screen Actors Guild regulations for scenes involving nudity.
The actress claims the conditions left her with cranial swelling and eardrum damage. The lawsuit further states that unauthorized photographs of her nude body were taken on set. The pictures of her naked body were also allegedly used in Terrifier-related merchandise without her written consent.
Corcoran is requesting a detailed audit of the film’s earnings to determine the amount owed to her.
