Fans have been following John Cena’s farewell tour all year, and now it’s official where one of his biggest goodbyes will take place. WWE and Netflix just confirmed that Cena’s final Monday Night Raw appearance will go down at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Monday, November 17.
The news comes through Netflix’s Tudum and was quickly backed up by WWE’s own event listings and press releases.
John Cena will have his final WWE Raw match in New York City in November
Netflix’s Tudum confirmed on October 27 that John Cena’s final Monday Night Raw will air live from Madison Square Garden on November 17. They hyped it as “the GOAT’s last Raw.” Fans can catch it live on Netflix at 8 p.m. ET.
The story also quotes Cena’s comments from the January 6 Netflix premiere of Raw, where he talked about the honor of entering the ring “for the last time.” He told the packed crowd of 17,000 fans, “Thank you, Monday Night Raw, for allowing me the honor to stand in a WWE ring in Los Angeles, full jorts, for the last time.”
WWE’s schedule and Madison Square Garden’s site both lock in the date, listing Monday Night Raw at MSG on November 17. WWE had already confirmed two big farewell stops. One in Boston on November 10 and New York City on November 17, according to a September press release.
That same announcement noted tickets were already on sale and described the events as the wrestler-turned-actor’s final Raw appearances in both cities.
John Cena’s farewell tour follows a dramatic 2025 in WWE, including a heel turn earlier in the year and a record 17th world championship win at WrestleMania 41 in April. Both events are leading to Cena’s official retirement from full-time wrestling.
While WWE is keeping quiet about who the 48-year-old will face in his final match, fans have been buzzing with guesses. Some claim it would be The Rock or Logan Paul.
But according to WRKD Wrestling, the plan is for Cena to go head-to-head with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther in his last showdown. If that’s true, it’s going to be one epic curtain call.
