Sydney Sweeney recently recalled a time in her career when she was told to “fix” her face and get Botox. Besides her acting, the 28-year-old has drawn considerable attention from many for her appearance. Moreover, it also became one of the highlights in the controversial ad campaign she participated in.
Sydney Sweeney recalls how she was told to fix her face
In a recent interview with Variety, Sweeney revealed that she had “strong eyebrow muscles,” demonstrating the same by furrowing her brow. The Euphoria star shared that someone told her to “fix” her face or risk failing in her career.
“I should get Botox. I was 16!” Sydney Sweeney revealed, adding, “Or I’m in a casting and I’m reading my scene and the casting director is eating a bag of chips, and I’m like, ‘You’re not paying attention at all.’”
The Anyone But You star maintained her firm stance on retaining her natural beauty. She stated she had no desire to enhance her physical appearance, expressing her fear of tattoos and needles. “I’ve never gotten anything done,” she shared. “I’m absolutely terrified of needles. No tattoos. Nothing. I’m going to age gracefully,” Sweeney further stated.
Notably, Sydney Sweeney previously considered getting a breast reduction in high school. In an interview with Glamour two years ago, the 28-year-old recalled being uncomfortable with her breast size in high school, because of which she planned to get a “boob job” when she was 18. However, she revealed that her mother discouraged her, saying she would regret it in college.
“And I’m so glad I didn’t. I like them,” she added. “They’re my best friends. Everybody’s body is beautiful. When you are confident and you’re happy within is when it really shows to other people.”
Moreover, the Emmy nominee revealed she would wear oversized sweatshirts in high school to conceal her breast size until she became confident in her body. “I want to show girls that it’s amazing and beautiful and empowering to have the bodies that we have,” she further said.
