A source told RadarOnline that Markle faced criticism and comparison after “Victoria Beckham” was released. She has been seemingly “shaken” by the response. “Victoria has achieved exactly what she aspired to – moving seamlessly from celebrity to credible business figure,” the Hollywood insider claimed.
They added that the documentary has “overshadowed” Meghan Markle. According to the outlet, both ladies were once friends, introduced by their respective husbands — Prince Harry and David Beckham. But things got sour between the Duchess of Sussex and Victoria after the “Spare” author accused “Posh Spice” of leaking royal stories.
Reportedly, their friendship didn’t mend even after Lady Beckham denied the allegations. Meanwhile, industry sources claimed that Markle might be “jealous” of the fashion designer’s latest success. “Seeing Victoria celebrated for exactly what she wanted to achieve has really struck a nerve,” a source mentioned.
