Emily Robinson, the director of communications, came in with strong credentials from Netflix. She worked with Netflix for “The Crown,” and later joined the Sussexes, drawing widespread attention. Now, her quick departure is drawing similar interest.
A friend told the outlet that Robinson decided to leave because the job became untenable. They emphasized, “She’s not a quitter, so things must have been pretty horrible for her to go.” The duke and duchess’ office, on the other hand, explained that Robinson was there for specific assignments.
A spokesman for the couple stated, “Ms Robinson oversaw project-based work for a very successful season of With Love, Meghan and additional support for the production company.” They added, “She did an excellent job and completed these projects with great success.”
Robinson is the latest in a line of publicists to depart since the Sussexes moved to California around five years ago.
