Meghan Markle Loses Tenth PR Person — Source

Meghan Markle has reportedly lost another senior PR aide, Emily Robinson. The communications aide joined the Sussex team in June as director of communications and left after about three months. Robinson’s exit adds to Markle and her husband, Prince Harry’s, fast-changing PR roster, even as a smaller group of advisers remains in place.

The Daily Mail exclusively reported that Meghan Markle lost her PR aide after working with her for three months. Emily Robinson, the director of communications, came in with strong credentials from Netflix. She worked with Netflix for “The Crown,” and later joined the Sussexes, drawing widespread attention. Now, her quick departure is drawing similar interest.

A friend told the outlet that Robinson decided to leave because the job became untenable. They emphasized, “She’s not a quitter, so things must have been pretty horrible for her to go.” The duke and duchess’ office, on the other hand, explained that Robinson was there for specific assignments.

A spokesman for the couple stated, “Ms Robinson oversaw project-based work for a very successful season of With Love, Meghan and additional support for the production company.” They added, “She did an excellent job and completed these projects with great success.”

Robinson is the latest in a line of publicists to depart since the Sussexes moved to California around five years ago. Two former communications figures, James Holt and Miranda Barbot, have since shifted into non-PR roles, and their current team includes Liam Maguire, who oversees communications in Europe, and Meredith Maines, the couple’s chief communications officer.

Robinson’s brief tenure as PR for the royal couple highlights the pressures around a job that draws constant scrutiny. While her friend said she walked away from a difficult situation, the couple’s office explained she wrapped up her work successfully. Now, the Sussexes’ communications team is seemingly adjusting again, with key staff still in place as they move ahead.
