Travis Kelce’s high school football coach, Jeff Rotsky, heaped praise on Taylor Swift. In an interview with The Times, Rotsky detailed his encounter with the “Opalite” singer. He reportedly met her at a Chiefs’ game last year at Arrowhead Stadium. Notably, the singer had just wrapped her Eras tour and was playing cheerleader to fiancé Kelce.
Rotsky remarked, “She is the kindest young lady you ever met and down to earth. She treated us like gold.” The former coach also recalled the global pop star wanting to learn more about Kelce. (via Athlon Sports)
He confessed, “The first time we met, her opening line was, ‘I’ve been looking forward to meeting you, I want to hear all the dirt about Travis.’” The “Cruel Summer” singer even clicked pictures with Rotsky and his daughter Emmie.
Coach Rotsky spoke highly of Kelce as an athlete in his high school days. He revealed that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was always disciplined, ambitious, and competitive. “There are great stories about Trav, starting with the competitiveness, to the recruitment trips with my son. He knew how to have fun and have a good time. I’m proud of what he’s done athletically,” he said of Kelce. (via Essentially Sports)
Furthermore, Rotsky wished Kelce would marry and have children of his own someday. He quipped, “Football’s great, but this is life. I am so excited for him to become a husband, even more excited for him to become a father someday. I pray for little Kelces running around here in the next couple of years.”
Swifties loved the warm interaction between coach Rotsky and the “Bad Blood” singer. One fan commented, “She is such a girlfriend because I would do the same!”
Another Swiftie wrote, “That’s such a sweet story! Taylor always comes across as so genuine and kind — love how she instantly made everyone feel comfortable and added a little humor too.”
