Taylor Swift is reportedly planning one of the most star-studded weddings, but it seems one familiar name won’t make the guest list. Despite once being close friends, reportedly, Blake Lively won’t be invited to Swift’s upcoming wedding with NFL star Travis Kelce.
Taylor Swift is not inviting Blake Lively, insiders say
According to insiders who spoke to RadarOnline.com, Swift intends to invite “almost everyone she knows” to her wedding in an effort to shut down speculation about celebrity feuds. “Taylor wants this wedding to be completely drama-free. She’s aware that people will look at the guest list for signs of tension or old grudges,” a source claimed.
The report further stated that Taylor Swift plans to include past collaborators, industry friends, and close family, but Blake Lively, “definitely,” won’t be among them. “Things have cooled between them, and Taylor doesn’t want awkward energy overshadowing the day,” the source said.
Taylor Swift and Blake Lively were known as close friends, as they were not only spotted for brunches and holidays but also to support each other. However, due to Swift’s name being dragged into Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively’s lawsuit, it has reportedly affected their friendship. Recently, a process server also trespassed on Travis Kelce’s estate to give Taylor Swift deposition papers on behalf of Baldoni.
Another insider explained that Swift’s approach to the wedding guest list is carefully calculated. “Taylor knows the narrative that follows her — every friendship gets scrutinized. By inviting basically everyone relevant in her life – except Blake – she’s removing the oxygen for gossip and in-fighting. If people can’t point to who wasn’t invited, they can’t build stories around feuds,” they said.
Taylor Swift herself gave fans a glimpse into her wedding planning. “I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount and people are in a bubble,” she said on The Graham Norton Show. “You have to evaluate or assess your relationship with them to see if they should be there. I am not gonna do that,” she added.
