Travis Kelce Invests in Six Flags Theme Park for ‘Next Generation’

Travis Kelce has announced that he has invested in Six Flags Theme Park via his official Instagram account. The theme park is a major travel attraction for families and children, with thrilling roller coaster rides and water parks.

Travis Kelce partners with Six Flags theme park as an investor

Travis Kelce has taken a major step as an investor with Six Flags theme park. The NFL star announced this via a heartfelt Instagram post. “Couldn’t pass up the opportunity to continue the tradition and make Cedar Point and Six Flags even more special for the next generation of families!” he wrote.

Kelce revealed he is “excited” to partner with JANA Partners as an investor in Six Flags. He ended the caption confessing that this feels surreal and life has come a full circle. The Kansas City Chiefs tight-end is now a part owner of Six Flags. Kelce shared nostalgic childhood videos of visiting Six Flags theme park with family and friends. Previously, he has shared his love for Cedar Point on the New Heights podcast.

On October 21, Kelce announced that he has partnered with activist investor JANA Partners and other industry executives to revive and rebuild the iconic Six Flags theme park (via Marca).

The much-needed monetary investment comes at a crucial point when the iconic theme park suffered major financial losses this year. According to Marca, the company reported a net loss of approximately $319 million in the first half of 2025.

Moreover, the attendance, consisting of families and children, slipped by 9% in the first half of 2025. Many believe poor weather and lack of motivation have caused the low attendee turnout. However, Kelce’s investment has breathed fresh life into Six Flags’ bleak present.

Post the announcement, Six Flags shares increased by nearly 18 percent in regular trading. Additionally, it clocked another 4.5 percent in after-hours trading. For those unversed, Kelce was born in Westlake, Ohio and visited the iconic theme park with his family and loved ones.

Fans have whole-heartedly supported his decision and some even sneaked in Taylor Swift references. One fan cheekily commented, “can we get a ride called Cruel Summer,” referring to one of Taylor Swift’s most popular songs. Another fan asked, “Era by era theme park when bestie….”, a nod to Swift’s famous Eras tour.
