While more and more creators are making use of AI to make content on the internet now, YouTube star IShowSpeed is certainly not one of them. The online celebrity, who has gained a massive fan following due to the eccentric stunts he pulls in his videos, recently revealed that due to the nature of his content, he does not need the help of artificial intelligence while filming.
IShowSpeed has ‘no room’ to use AI in his content
During the recently conducted Joy Forum 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the 20-year-old internet personality linked up with actor Terry Crews and fellow YouTube sensation Jimmy Donaldson, AKA MrBeast. While discussing a horde of topics, Crews posed the question of whether the two creators present there ever leveraged AI while making videos.
In the video shared on X (formerly Twitter), a surprised MrBeast simply replied, “Have I used ChatGPT? Of Course.” Meanwhile, IShowSpeed answered, “There’s maybe been one time I was in the country and I searched up ChatGPT, ‘What is it they do in this country?’ Maybe once or twice. But yeah, yes, I did use it once before.”
IShowSpeed, who boasts over 44.8 million subscribers on YouTube, then presented a different outlook on the subject, stating, “I mean, I don’t use it. My content is so like live and raw. There’s no room for me to use that because everything is live for me. Like, what I’m gonna use AI for when I’m live.”
The YouTuber then shifted focus towards MrBeast, explaining that it is understandable why he may use AI while planning or creating content for his channel. “Your videos are long for like thousands of hours, like hours of footage. Mine’s just live. I don’t have to edit. I don’t have to do none of that,” he remarked.
Against all odds, MrBeast came up with one scenario where even IShowSpeed could use artificial intelligence, noting, “The only thing I can think of is maybe a live translation? So you could talk to people, that’d be cool.”
Eventually, IShowSpeed seemed to agree with his peer’s comments, which indicates that the unconventional creator might just take up MrBeast’s suggestion for a future video, given his knack for experimentation.
