Ty Dolla $ign gets all Taylor Swift songs wrong in viral clip
The “Paranoid” hitmaker recently appeared to make a diss at Taylor Swift as he failed to recognize any of her songs and even named one of them a Charli XCX track.
In a recent video posted on Instagram, content creator Shanonthestreet, also known as Shan Rizwan, approached Ty Dolla $ign and asked him, “Ty Dolla $ign for a $100, who’s your favorite artist?” He named Swift as his favorite. Rizwan continued, “I’ll play three Taylor Swift songs. Get them all right, $100.”
Dolla $ign then put on the headphones, and Swift’s track “Cruel Summer” played. However, the rapper confidently answered, “Sympathy is a Knife.” Rizwan reminded him that it’s a Charli XCX song, to which Dolla $ign replied with “s**t”.
Moreover, the next song played was “You Belong With Me,” but Dolla $ign got that wrong too and misidentified it as “Halo” by Beyoncé. The content creator then played one of Swift’s most famous tracks, “Love Story,” but he immediately named it “Single Ladies” by Beyoncé, leaving Rizwan stunned.
Shan Rizwan further confirmed if Ty Dolla $ign was indeed a Swiftie and asked him the name of the song again, but the latter’s reply didn’t change. When asked if he had heard the song, he said, “I never heard it. I ain’t gonna lie.”
Furthermore, Rizwan checked if the headphones were working and then played “Shake It Off,” but Dolla $ign failed to identify that too and said it’s his song, “Smile Body Pretty Face.” After not getting not even one song right, he blamed the headphones and walked away.
Meanwhile, a fan commented on the video and stated, “Saying sympathy is a knife is WILDDDD lmfao.”
