However, the Duchess of Sussex’s comment about pantyhose seems to have shattered the hopes. A royal source stated that the remark has “closed the door” of reunion between Markle and her in-laws. On the other hand, her husband is reportedly trying to sort things out and resume as a working royal.
Markle’s “this kind of” behavior makes any hopes of peace “impossible,” believes an insider. The individual added, “She’s still laughing at the system while claiming she wants healing – and that’s something future king William, in particular, finds hard to stomach.” One source shared, “For King Charles this kind of thing is wearying.” The monarch “has tried to take a gentle, dignified approach with Harry and Meghan.”
However, when Markle “keeps making digs like this, it chips away at any chance of rebuilding trust.” The source continued, “It’s not malicious, but it’s thoughtless – and the royal family sees that as just as damaging.” Another palace insider expressed that it was “deeply sad” to see relations deteriorating. They explained that the Prince of Wales “once hoped there might be a way back for his brother and Meghan.”
