Kim Kardashian expressed regret over a past photoshoot with Justin Bieber. The SKIMS founder guested on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast on October 15, wherein she spoke about her personal life, career choices, and also a few regrets.
Kim Kardashian speaks about her photoshoot with 16-year-old Justin Bieber
Kim Kardashian talked about her old photoshoot with a teenage Justin Bieber on the Call Her Daddy podcast. The two did a photoshoot in 2010 for Elle magazine. At the time, Bieber was 16 years old and Kardashian 29.
Host Alex Cooper asked, “What is something you probably should have gotten cancelled for but didn’t?” Kim immediately replied, “I know what it is, and I think I’m going to get cancelled if I say it,” she said with a laugh.
She continued, “I don’t know who approved this and thought this was normal — this narrative. But I did a photoshoot with Justin Bieber, and he was 16 years old. And I don’t know how old I was, and it was like a play.”
“His girlfriend was there. His parents were there. I mean, it was nothing creepy at all. But I look back, and I feel like… he’s a good, dear friend of ours and the whole family. But like, who thought that was a good idea? You know, I must have been like 30 years old,” she remarked.
Furthermore, Kim stated, “It was a story of The Graduate (film). I just feel like that was nothing ever weird, but it was obviously happening. I just think that was like an odd concept. And why none of us thought that that was odd at the time — but now we look, and that would not have been the most appropriate thing,” she expressed regretfully.
For those unversed, the 2010 Elle magazine photoshoot featured Kim Kardashian and Justin Bieber acting like a couple on a beach. At the time, Bieber was in a relationship with Selena Gomez, who was also present at the photoshoot (via PEOPLE).
Fans haven’t been kind to Kim on social media. One user wrote, “Asking who approved this and saying ‘I must’ve been 30’… uhhh, you approved it. You were a 30-year-old woman.”
Another fan commented, “‘Who thought that was a good idea?’ Like she wasn’t a grown woman that could say no.”
