Tony Danza has finally opened up about Valerie Bertinelli’s claims on Drew Barrymore’s show. Bertinelli revealed having a crush on him earlier and leaving her contact number in his glove box. As such, Danza gave an interesting reaction to her statements.

The One Day at a Time actor gave a hilarious response to his co-star’s claims of never calling her.
During the Tuesday episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Valerie Bertinelli shared that she left her phone number in Tony Danza’s car’s glove box. She made this move in hopes of starting a romance, but things did not go her way. The 65-year-old revealed, “He never called me!” As such, host Drew Barrymore responded, “They never do, by the way.” (via Entertainment Weekly)
Soon, things took an interesting turn when Danza showed up to join the ladies for a cooking segment. Barrymore then went to ask the much-awaited question to the Who’s The Boss? actor. She said, “Did you ever find Val’s phone number in your glove box?”
However, Danza replied, “No, I did not! I think she’s full of baloney!” Meanwhile, Bertinelli took this response in a light-hearted tone, leading to some hilarious moments as Danza taught the ladies to cook his popular date sauce.
Additionally, the 74-year-old shared that he uses the sauce to garnish meatballs, pasta, short ribs, and more. It came from his wish to invite women to his house for a meal. He said, “I used to say, ‘Hey, come over. I’ll cook something. And I cooked this stuff.”
Valerie Bertinelli took another dig at Tony Danza, saying, “I don’t know, I never heard those words.” Moreover, she threw a joke, wrapping her arm around his shoulder. “This is a sauce you never made for me, even though I left my number in your glove box. Date Sauce,” Bertinelli concluded.
