On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the US Navy celebrated its 250th anniversary. For this special occasion, several NCIS cast members reunited to read the script for an NCIS episode from 2011. In a unique twist, cast from NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: Origins, and NCIS: Sydney, swapped roles and read their respective parts during the event (via ET).
Actors Daniela Ruah and Sean Murray read the scripts for the characters of Ziva David and Anthony DiNozzo, respectively. In their own series, they portray Kensi Blye and Timothy McGee. Further, Austin Stowell read for the role of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, while Kyle Schmid read for T.C. Fornell. Both Stowell and Schmid star in NCIS: Origins—Stowell plays the young Gibbs, and Schmid portrays Mike Franks.
The event was held at the Great Hall and Overlook of the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. ESPN national correspondent and Navy Veteran, Sal Paolantonio, served as the event’s host. The celebration featured performances by various Navy musical groups, followed by an open dance floor with a DJ.
