Jason Kelce Slams ‘Fake Quotes’ Regarding Bad Bunny’s 2026 Super Bowl Show

Former NFL center Jason Kelce took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the “fake quotes” shared online regarding Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance. Kelce posted a brief message clarifying that people had completely fabricated the viral statements attributed to him.

Here’s a look at what he actually said.

Jason Kelce calls out ‘fake quotes’ about Bad Bunny’s 2026 Super Bowl Halftime show

Jason Kelce took to X in order to clarify the truth regarding the “fake quotes” spreading online. Statements attributed to Kelce regarding the Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show had been going viral recently. Therefore, to set the record straight, Kelce wrote on X, “I normally don’t comment on things like this, but I feel I need to address that there are a number of accounts posting fake quotes and attributing them to me on this platform right now.”

“I appreciate @X putting community notes on several and I will not address the other accounts specifically, because I do not want to amplify their engagement,” the co-host of the New Heights podcast continued. “But please know, unless you hear something directly from me via one of my platforms, it is not real,” Kelce added.

One of the falsely attributed quotes getting heavily reposted was, “If Bad Bunny is a bad fit for the Super Bowl, then maybe the people making these comments are a bad fit for America’s future.”

In reality, Jason Kelce never made this statement anywhere and has now clarified the same in his post. The false statement addressed the criticism faced online by the announcement of Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show performance.

Recently, in his cold open as host on SNL, the Puerto Rican rapper addressed the criticism by saying, “I’m very happy, and I think everyone is happy about it — even Fox News.”

Further, he continued, “But really, I’m very excited to be doing the Super Bowl, and I know that people all around the world who love my music are also happy.”
