Prince William Might Not Become a Full-Time King Due to Kate Middleton, Insiders Say

Prince William might reportedly become a “part-time king” to satisfy his wife, Kate Middleton, who wishes to live a low-profile life. The news came amid reports that the Prince and Princess of Wales are gearing up to move to Forest Lodge later this year. The residence is an isolated eight-bedroom house, located in the depths of the Windsor Great Park.

Kate Middleton’s alleged desire not to live under the radar could reportedly affect her husband, Prince William’s, future endeavours as king. As reported by RadarOnline, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ decision to move to Forest Lodge is part of their long-term plan. They allegedly want to raise their three kids —Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis —without the pressures of palace life.

Per the news outlet, a royal source told them that Kate Middleton “wants to live more simply, surrounded by nature, and focus on her family.” The person continued, “She believes fresh air, peace, and time outdoors are key to staying strong.” They added, “Forest Lodge gives her that space.” They explained, “But it also means William will have to make choices about how much time he spends in London versus Windsor.”

In the meantime, Kate Middleton and Prince William’s move has reportedly left palace circles in a state of worry, as they believe it hints at a new era of a “part-time monarchy.” Another insider claimed, “People are worried that by putting family life and privacy first, William could start to lose touch with the public.” The person continued, “The late Queen always believed visibility was essential – and some think he’s pulling back more than he should.” Reportedly, people have called their decision to shift to Forest Lodge “deeply unsettling.” Sources warned that a future king “hiding away in Windsor could alienate his subjects.”
