Travis Kelce has finally shared his reaction to fiancée Taylor Swift’s song, “Wood.” On the October 8 episode of the Kelce brothers’ “New Heights” podcast, the NFL stars shared their reaction to the pop sensation’s new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” especially their thoughts on the track about his manhood.
Travis Kelce has this reaction to Taylor Swift’s song ‘Wood’
Travis Kelce couldn’t stop blushing when his brother, Jason Kelce, brought up one particular Taylor Swift song, “Wood.” In the “New Heights” podcast episode, Jason can be seen teasing Travis about the track and how the lyrics not-so-subtly touch upon his manhood.
The 37-year-old asked, “How do you feel about ‘Wood?’” To which his brother responds, “It’s a great song.” Jason then asked, “Do you feel cocky about the song ‘Wood?,'” trying to slide in a witty wordplay when he got an opportunity for it. Travis simply replied, “No, any song that she references me in is a very…,” before being cut off by his sibling prodding him to get a better answer.
Travis maintained his stance and replied, “I love that girl, so what do you mean? Any song that she would reference me in, in any way or form.” However, Jason was in no mood to accept a diplomatic reaction from his brother. He went on to quote lyrics from “Wood” — “redwood tree, it ain’t hard to see” — before being cut off by the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s laughter.
Swift released the song “Wood” as a part of her twelfth studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” The pop star references her fiancé’s manhood in a not-so-subtle manner in the track. Unsurprisingly, viewers loved the quirky banter between the two brothers.
One fan wrote, “He’s so classy,” accompanied by a crying and flaming heart emoticon.
Another made a witty reference to another popular album from the singer, “Folklore.” They said, “Kelce brothers decoding Taylor’s Wood — football meets folklore.”
A user also penned, “It’s crazy how Taylor’s influence turned a football podcast into a music breakdown show. The crossover is undefeated.”
Finally, a fan couldn’t resist commenting, “LOOOOOVE this. Thanks, Travis, for asking the RIGHT QUESTIONS!”
