Prince William Reportedly Won’t Have Too Many Royals on His Side When He Becomes King

Prince William is reportedly running out of royals to work with him and won’t have many on his side when he becomes king. A report recently pointed out that there could be a shortage of personnel to assist him with his duties when he finally takes over the throne from King Charles. To make matters more challenging, he might not have his younger brother, Prince Harry, around, who stepped down from his role as a royal in 2020 and moved to the United States.

Prince William is reportedly worried after royals are drifting away

The Daily Mail reported that Prince William is concerned that there won’t be many working on his side when he becomes king. He has allegedly been worrying about the royals drifting away, causing a shortage of those who could work alongside him. The report highlighted personnel dropping by “two down to ten” by 2024, alleging that challenges might intensify before things turn around.

Some of the oldest working royals, including Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, and Princess Alexandra, the Honorable Lady Ogilvy, have taken a hiatus from the public eye. In addition to that, Prince Andrew stepped into retirement years ago, and William’s brother, Prince Harry, stepped down from his role and moved across the pond with his family. Nevertheless, there have been recent reports of Harry wanting a reconciliation and making efforts toward building bridges.

The report highlighted that when Prince William becomes king, Kate Middleton, Prince Edward, and Duchess Sophie, along with Princess Anne, will work with him. His own children will be too young and will need nearly a decade to step into their roles. It also mentioned potential contenders that the Prince of Wales might call upon, including Zara Phillips, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, and Lady Louise Windsor.

Moreover, Prince Harry could resume some duties, as a recent report hinted at the possibility of his return as a part-time royal. However, that doesn’t overlook the fact that the brothers still appear to be feuding, and William has reportedly not been on board with the Duke of Sussex’s reconciliation efforts.
