Kanye West‘s ex, Julia Fox, recently shared a surprising thing she did during one of her past relationships. In an interview, the 35-year-old model revealed she spent $68k on an ex’s credit card to buy numerous designer goods. Fox has been involved in two relationships in her personal life so far. She was married to Peter Artemiev, the father of her son, between 2018 and 2020, and briefly dated West in 2022.
Julia Fox admits spending $68K on ex’s credit card
Julia Fox recently gave an interview where she discussed topics tied to her personal life. During the discussion, she revealed she went on a big spending spree with an unnamed ex’s credit card to buy a lot of designer goods.
“I used my man’s credit card in a mania,” the Uncut Gems star told The Sunday Times. “Spent $68,000 in a night and bought hundreds of Chanel, YSL, Pucci, Mugler, Christian Lacroix, Alexander McQueen and Versace pieces.” However, she said, she couldn’t keep the designer goods for long, as she had to sell them after being dumped.
Although Fox hasn’t named the ex whose credit card she used, a RadarOnline report alleges it was Kanye West. Interestingly, according to Fox, West once surprised her with a collection of designer clothes.
In an interview with Interview, the HIM star revealed that after a dinner date, the Donda rapper surprised her with “an entire hotel suite full of clothes.” “It was every girl’s dream come true. It felt like a real Cinderella moment,” she added. “I don’t know how he did it, or how he got all of it there in time. But I was so surprised.”
Fox wondered who would do what West did on “a second date,” noting things with them were “organic.” “I don’t know where things are headed but if this is any indication of the future I’m loving the ride,” she further stated.
Despite this touching gesture, things weren’t always great for the former couple. Fox alleged in her memoir Down the Drain that West controlled the way she dressed during their relationship.
“He appoints a team to work on my wardrobe,” Fox shared (via The Daily Mail). “I immediately think of an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians where he did the same thing for his estranged wife in their early stages of dating. This is all so surreal.”
Fox added that West appointed two of her friends, Tammy and Liana, to be her stylists. She further recalled that her friendship with them dwindled after they no longer consulted her about her clothing and instead discussed the matter with West.
