The Oscar-winning actress stepped out on Saturday, October 4, for amfAR’s Dallas auction, where she presented her Lioness collaborator, Taylor Sheridan, with the Award of Inspiration. The event, hosted by Teri Hatcher, took place at the home of United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby and celebrated amfAR’s ongoing commitment to AIDS research and HIV prevention.
The news of Kidman’s separation from Urban, 57, broke on Monday, September 29, revealing that the pair had quietly split earlier in the summer after 19 years of marriage. The following day, on September 30, the actress formally filed for divorce in Nashville, citing irreconcilable differences and noting the date of separation as the time of filing.
The former couple shares two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Nicole Kidman and her daughters attended the Chanel runway show, marking her debut as the French luxury brand’s newest ambassador.
According to court documents obtained by The Daily Mail, Kidman will be named the primary residential parent as part of the custody agreement. The arrangement grants her custody of the girls for 306 days each year, while Urban will have them for 59 days.
The source added that Kidman “didn’t want this” and “was fighting to save the marriage.” Though the breakup has been difficult, Kidman is choosing to focus on her children and her career.
“She’s been stressed because she knew the separation would eventually become public and she was dreading it,” the insider revealed. “But she’s surprisingly level-headed and calm. Now that it’s out, she’s focused on what’s ahead and her girls.”
