Travis Kelce Cheers for Fiancée Taylor Swift’s Backup Dancer in Her New MV

Taylor Swift recently released the music video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” and her fiancé, Travis Kelce, has lauded one of the performers in it. The new single is the lead track of her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl. Following its release, the song reportedly became the most-streamed song on Spotify in a single day.

Travis Kelce lauds Taylor Swift’s backup dancer in The Fate of Ophelia music video

Kameron N. Saunders, the backup dancer in the Grammy-winning artist’s “The Fate of Ophelia,” shared a snippet of the music video playing on a theater screen in France online. In it, he appears for a few seconds, giving her a small stick. The stick’s tip then lights on fire and is thrown away by Taylor Swift as she walks towards the door.

In the Instagram video, fans could be heard loudly cheering for Saunders as he appeared on screen. Moreover, his video was accompanied by a caption, where he expressed gratitude to everyone who showed him love.

“Got a DM from an incredible fan, @bynoemieg, of @iamtheolemos’s story from the premiere in Paris…,” the caption reads. “Ummm Paris… WTF! This scream was thunderous!” It continues, “This was so generous! So humbling and so unexpected! I love yall and this sooooo much! THANK YOU for loving me back!”

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, also praised Saunders’ appearance. “You killed it as always Kam!!” he commented under the Instagram video.

Interestingly, Kameron N. Saunders and Kelce share a mutual connection. The former is the elder brother of Khalen Saunders, a defensive tackle for the NFL, who formerly played for the Kansas City Chiefs alongside Kelce. He now plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars, who recently also defeated the Chiefs 31-28 on Monday Night Football.

Moreover, Saunders previously performed with Kelce at Swift’s Eras Tour concert in London in June 2024. He enjoyed his time with the NFL tight end on stage, discussing the same on Instagram, where he also touched upon their shared history.

“Trav.. I had the time of my life being an absolute HAM with you on stage. This was such a full circle moment for me,” Saunders stated. “I have been to countless Chiefs games with my family over the years to support my baby brother. Three of those 4 years he was with the Chiefs, we went to the Super Bowl and won twice…ABSOLUTE LEGACY!!!”

Kameron N. Saunders said that his family, including his mother, loved Travis Kelce and thanked the latter for his “heart and kindness and goofiness.”
