Charlie Sheen Apologizes to Dax Shepard For Being a ‘D***’ 20 Years Ago

Charlie Sheen recently issued a public apology to Dax Shepard, making amends for a two-decade-old mistake. Reflecting on the incident, the actor admitted that he had been rude to Shepard during a casual conversation about Halloween. Although Shepard confessed he didn’t even recall the exchange, Sheen took the opportunity to apologize publicly, saying he wanted to “make that right.”

During the October 6 episode of Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Sheen surprised Dax Shepard with an unexpected apology for something that happened roughly twenty years ago.

“There’s something I’ve been carrying around. I was a d–k to you one night. Not cool. Like an a–hole 5,000,” Sheen said. Shepard was left puzzled by the confession, admitting he didn’t even remember the encounter. “Tell me, because it’s so bizarre. I don’t remember that,” he said.

Sheen started, “We were sharing how Halloween with super tiny children is not fun. It’s just not. I mean, it is and it isn’t. It’s fun for the photo on the fridge later. I was kind of in a pissy mood in my share, and I was b–ching about Halloween and just zero gratitude about anything, you know?”

However, according to the actor, Shepard had chimed in about having a great Halloween experience, saying he’d gone to a couple of parties and had a good time. Frustrated, Sheen responded harshly, “Try it with f–king kids, dude.” He added, “And it was so inappropriate and unnecessary and uncalled for. So 20 years later, apologies.”

Sheen went on to explain that the moment had stayed with him for years and that he had always wanted to make amends. He added,  “And here we are 20 years later.” Shepard responded with grace, laughing off the incident and accepting the apology.
