According to Page Six, Brittany Mahomes received a handwritten note from her friend Taylor Swift, just after recent discussions surrounding the pop star’s song, “Cancelled”, from her album “The Life of a Showgirl”.
The former soccer pro, Brittany Mahomes, took to her Instagram Stories on Monday to share the handwritten note. The note, which was inside an orange sparkling PR package she received from the Grammy winner, was in honor of the release of her 12th studio album.
The note read, “If you’re reading this, you’re one of the lovely people that I appreciate, that I admire, and ultimately, one that I want to celebrate Life of a Showgirl with.”
Mahomes was part of the many on Swift’s PR list, and many assumed Swift’s song “Cancelled” was written about Brittany Mahomes. The song depicts a scenario in which the Grammy winner offers a friendly hand to someone who has unfairly been criticized in public.
Brittany Mahomes has been surrounded by several controversies since becoming the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
She has also been receiving criticisms from last year for liking Donald Trump’s Instagram post and the 2022 incident in which she was caught on camera pouring champagne on rival fans from her suite at a game.
Regardless of the many speculations that Swift would want to distance herself from Mahomes, they are still close friends. According to E News, Taylor and Mahomes have forged a close bond since they first met in 2023, when Taylor dated Patrick’s teammate, Travis Kelce, while they were members of the NFL WAGs squad.
