Jennifer Lopez is coming up with a new musical, “Kiss of the Spider Woman”, and was seen in attendance with Ben Affleck at the New York premiere. Her ex-husband, Affleck, is the film’s executive producer and made a surprise appearance at the event alongside her ex-wife. The movie was co-produced by Affleck and Matt Damon’s Artists Equity production company, together with Damon.

The premiere of the musical marked a public reunion of the former couple, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. They appeared together on the premiere of the production and exchanged a series of friendly chats during the event.
Affleck’s supportive presence comes after the two stars’ separation in 2025. The two first crossed paths in 2002, leading to a romance that was followed by an engagement in 2004, a period that gave way to new, independent relationships with new children. The rekindling of their romance in 2021 culminated in a July 2022 wedding in a private ceremony in Las Vegas. They had a larger ceremony in Georgia the following month, where family and friends were in attendance to celebrate their new union. It was in 2024 that they cited irreconcilable differences and separated in February.
According to People, Affleck also talked to the press about the film. Lopez was in attendance, dressed in a sculptural gown from Harris Reed’s spring 2026 collection. Lopez introduced the film before the screening and thanked her ex-husband, saying, “Thank you so much, thank you everybody for being here tonight. Thank you, Ben, this movie wouldn’t have been made without Ben and without Artist Equity.”
