Travis Kelce’s Ex Kayla Nicole Is ‘Terrified’ of Hate Comments Amid Taylor Swift Diss

Travis Kelce‘s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, admits that she is fearful of receiving hate comments on the internet amid the alleged Taylor Swift diss. The media personality shared her thoughts on online negativity in the recent episode of her podcast, The Pre-Game With Kayla Nicole.

Kayla Nicole talks about hate comments after Taylor Swift’s song release

Speaking with former television host Joy Taylor, Nicole on her podcast stated, “Mariah Carey said something so poignant the other day — love this queen. She said, ‘It’s just so strange — if people want to talk about me and that’s what they want to do with their lives, then OK. Let them do it.’ ”

“As someone who obsesses over the fact that I am, on a daily basis, terrified of my comments, am terrified of my DMs — I don’t want to be triggered, I don’t want to care, I don’t want to look — but you’re f—— right,” she added.

Nicole concluded by declaring, “If you’re going to talk s— and run your mouth, please do it so I can pay a bill around here.”

Taylor Swift dropped her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3, featuring the latest hit “Opalite”. Shortly after its release, fans have speculated that a verse in the song takes a jab at Kelce’s former flame.

The track references the past relationships of the songstress before she began dating the Chiefs’ tight end. At one point, the lyrics appear to allude to Kelce’s dating history as well, notably his five-year relationship with Nicole. The lyrics read, “You couldn’t understand it, why you felt alone. You were in it for real, she was in her phone, and you were just a pose.”

Fans were further convinced that the lines are referring to Nicole when an old video of her and Kelce resurfaced recently. The clip shows the former couple seemingly arguing, with Kelce telling Nicole, “Oh, my god. Get off your phone.”

Nicole seemingly responded to the alleged criticism with an Instagram story on October 3. She shared a video of America’s Next Top Model contestant Eva Marcille saying, “I don’t compare myself to other girls… I’m no comparison to anyone else.” Fans have interpreted the post as a clap back to Swift’s lyrics.
