Emma Watson Looks Barbie-esque in Pink Outfit Amid J.K. Rowling

Emma Watson recently attended Paris Fashion Week (PFW), wearing a pink dress that gave Barbie vibes to some fans. The actress’ appearance at the event comes shortly after she was criticized by J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series.

Watson received criticism following an interview she gave, in which she claimed to love the author despite their differing views on gender identity. Last year, Rowling said she wouldn’t forgive Watson or Daniel Radcliffe for supporting a movement she believed destroyed women’s hard-earned rights.

Emma Watson recently attended Paris Fashion Week (PFW), wearing a pink and white checkered mini-dress that extended to her thighs. She wore a white shirt under the dress and paired the outfit with long black leather boots. The actress accessorized with a black leather messenger bag and black-rimmed Ray-Ban shades.

She topped off her look with a silver bracelet on her left hand and three gold rings on her right. The Harry Potter alum styled the top of her auburn tresses in a subtle diagonal part, letting the lower portions flow in waves.

Emma Watson’s outfit received a plethora of positive reactions. “Ohhh, I love this fit! Very barbie-esque,” one user commented on Reddit. “She looks like a ray of sunshine, Emma is so beautiful and classy,” one user wrote.

“I love this outfit!!! Pink gingham,” another added. Meanwhile, one fan commented that the Little Women star looked younger in the pictures. They said, “If you told me this was Emma Watson in 2015, heck even 2010 I would’ve believed you…”

Emma Watson’s appearance at PFW occurs several days after J.K. Rowling accused her of being “ignorant of how ignorant she is.” In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), the celebrated yet controversial author stressed that Watson and her Harry Potter co-stars had “every right to embrace gender identity ideology.” She added that their beliefs were “legally protected,” noting she didn’t want them to face threats of “loss of work, or violence, or death.” However, she said that Watson and Daniel Radcliffe used their former professional association with her on the Harry Potter franchise to be “de facto spokespeople” for the public.

J.K. Rowling also criticized Watson’s declaration of loving and treasuring her despite their polarizing views in a recent appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast. She opined that the 35-year-old’s changed stance was due to the latter noticing how “full-throated condemnation” of her was “no longer quite as fashionable as it was.”
