Elon Musk Urges People To Cancel & Boycott Netflix, Here’s Why

In a recent development, tech giant Elon Musk has been urging his followers to cancel their Netflix subscriptions over comments by Hamish Steele, the creator of the now-canceled Dead End: Paranormal Park, and Netflix’s alleged pro-trans propaganda, which is being fueled by shows like Dead End.

Musk reshared posts from multiple users and encouraged others to cancel their Netflix subscriptions.

Elon Musk wants Netflix subscriptions to be canceled

Over the past few days, Elon Musk has actively tried to get people to cancel their Netflix subscriptions by resharing multiple posts criticizing the streaming giant’s content and hiring policies, which are diversity-centric. Netflix has faced similar criticism before.

The calls for Netflix’s cancellation stem from Steele’s comments about Charlie Kirk’s death. Screenshots of Steele’s posts have gone viral, where he allegedly wrote, “Why the f** are you even commenting on this, d***head…a random nazi gets shot and it’s a public statement,” in reference to Kirk’s death. This sparked the cancellation movement.

Musk first reshared a post by another user, who wrote, “Just cancelled my Netflix subscription. If you employ someone who celebrated the murder of Charlie Kirk and makes content that pushes pro-trans content on my kid…you will NEVER get a dime of my money. It’s as simple as that.” Musk commented, “Same,” on this post.

Since then, Musk has reposted several other posts urging the cancellation of Netflix. He reshared a post claiming Netflix discriminates against White people. The post read, “Holy shlit @netflix appears to openly boast about discriminating against White people. In their inclusion & diversity report, they celebrate that the percentage of racially underrepresented directors and lead characters has been growing significantly over the past few years. Why doesn’t Netflix hire based on qualifications instead of skin color??”

Musk added, “Cancel Netflix,” to this post and reshared it. With his large following, this campaign has impacted Netflix. Forbes reported that Netflix shares fell 2.2% to $1,173.12 as of Wednesday.
