Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast features on partner Taylor Swift’s new album, The Life of a Showgirl’s song titled Wood. According to the lyrics on the website Genius, the pre-chorus lyrics go as follows:

“And baby, I’ll admit I’ve been a little superstitious (Superstitious)
The curse on me was broken by your magic wand (Ah)
Seems to be that you and me, we make our own luck
New Heights (New Heights) of manhood (Manhood)
I ain’t gotta knock on wood”

The lines “New Heights of manhood” are a sweet tribute to the quarterback’s podcast as well as to the man himself. Swift has never shied away from acknowledging her love and respect for her partner. During her Eras Tour in Buenos Aires in November 2023, she altered the lyrics to her song Karma to acknowledge her fiancé and his team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

The pop icon has also made subtle references to American soccer and the joy of playing sports, as well as running towards your partner after a win, in the song The Alchemy from the album The Tortured Poets Department.

Notably, the Grammy-winner made her debut appearance on the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast to announce her twelfth album, The Life of a Showgirl. Swift confessed on the podcast that this is the album she has been wanting to make for a long time. “This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant,” the 35-year-old told the Kelce brothers (via Pitchfork).

Interestingly, Taylor Swift also set a new Guinness World Record by achieving 1.3 billion concurrent YouTube views during her appearance on the New Heights podcast. This is the highest-ever figure for a podcast livestream by any artist. (via PEOPLE).
