Taylor Swift Won’t Be a Regular at Travis Kelce’s Games, Source Says Amid Latest Controversy

Taylor Swift has never been one to shy away from openly cheering for Travis Kelce during his games, but the recent NFL controversy has forced her to opt for a different approach this season. Kelce’s underwhelming performance in the fourth quarter against the Eagles led to scrutiny. Some blamed his performance on his high-profile relationship with Swift, compelling her to pull back from the spotlight this time.

Source says Taylor Swift not attending Travis Kelce’s games regularly this season is a well-thought-out plan

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship has been a matter of public interest, and the recent NFL controversy is changing the way Swift cheers for Kelce. From the moment she first arrived at Arrowhead Stadium last year, the singer was as much in the spotlight as the games themselves, with cameras often cutting to her reactions. But as the 2025 NFL season is in progress, Swift is pulling back — and, according to Star magazine, the shift is intentional.

On September 14, Kansas City hosted the Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII. Fans noted Swift’s absence, sparking speculation. Some even believed she may have arrived secretly and avoided the spotlight altogether.

However, insiders say her decision to cheer less visibly this season has less to do with safety and more to do with protecting her personal life with the Kansas City tight end. A source told Star, “Taylor’s taking a different approach to football season this year.” They added, “The previous two years were a whirlwind. This time around, she wants to be less intrusive.”

After announcing their engagement last month, Swift and Kelce are reportedly on the same page about how much attention their relationship should attract while the Chiefs focus on winning another Super Bowl. “Neither she or Travis wants their engagement to overshadow the game,” the insider explained.

They continued, “Travis wants to get to the Super Bowl and win it this time,” adding, “Taylor doesn’t want to give the arrogant football fans any reason to blame her in case the Chiefs lose.” Despite stepping back, Swift is still supporting Kelce, just in a quieter way, avoiding further controversy from distracting him this NFL season.
