Ryan Reynolds admits dropping F-bomb at Blake Lively
During his address to the audience at State Theatre New Jersey in New Brunswick, Reynolds revealed that he dropped an F-bomb at Lively because of Murray’s call. The Deadpool actor, who was one of the producers of the John Candy: I Like Me documentary, ‘desperately’ wanted to add Murray’s interview to it. He shared his struggles in contacting him, further revealing that he had received his number through “a friend of a friend of a friend,” Daily Mail reported.
Reynolds mentioned that trying to get his interview was so challenging that he could make an entire separate documentary on it. After getting his number, he called him, further joking that his voicemail is a “Greek shipping company.” He then left a voicemail, expressing his desire to get him on the documentary, saying, “Hey Bill, Ryan Reynolds here. I’m making a documentary about John Candy. I’m just hoping I could pick your brain. I’ll come to you; I’ll do whatever it takes.” His attempts didn’t stop at just a voicemail; he left “40 messages” behind after that.
He revealed that finally, he got a response from Murray while he was headed out for a gala event with his wife, Lively. “Funny, I’m on my way to some gala thing and I rarely go to a fancy tuxedo [event]. I’m there with my wife and we’re about to walk in and my phone buzzes, and I look at it. It says Bill Murray and I go, ‘Bill Murray!'” he added. When Lively asked him to come inside at the event with her, Reynolds revealed that he dropped an F-bomb at her. He said to Lively, “I’m like, “F— you!” However, he did not clarify which event it was.
