A new clip has gone viral on TikTok that depicts a woman stuck on a waterslide on a Norwegian Cruise. The said footage has amassed millions of views and has started a conversation on the video-sharing platform. Nevertheless, netizens are curious about the entire incident.
Viral clip shows woman stuck in a waterslide above ocean
A clip posted on TikTok on September 19, 2025, depicted a woman stuck in a waterslide above the ocean. The rather scary experience saw her stuck on her back in a clear section of the slide over the vast ocean.
The aforementioned TikTok clip is accompanied by the viral Jet2 ad audio, which is currently popular on almost all social media platforms. In it, the woman in question appears to be attempting to move forward by pushing with her arms and legs. Moreover, the said video has accumulated over 7 million views so far.
Meanwhile, the video received many comments, eliciting a range of reactions. “Stuck in a waterslide over actual ocean water would send me into a psychosis,” one user wrote, sympathizing with the woman.
“Why have I seen so many different videos of people getting stuck in these cruise water slides?? If it’s this common of a problem, maybe they need to be changed ??,” another wrote as a response.
A third netizen commented, “My only question is, how are they getting her out???” while another responded, “Is she going up or down? I feel like she’s making it complicated.”
As of writing, neither the cruise line nor the woman in the video has commented on the incident. However, USA Today reported that Norwegian Cruise stated in an email that their water slides have escape hatches to rescue passengers safely.
This mishap comes shortly after acrylic glass broke off a water slide on Royal Caribbean International’s Icon of the Seas, when a passenger was passing through it. The August 2025 accident even led to the passenger getting injured.
Currently, the Norwegian Cruise video continues gaining traction on TikTok.
