Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston have been friends for quite some time now, but the former would like her engagement to be before the latter’s. The “Friends” co-stars were spotted on a double date in Malibu just last month.
According to a source, the 61-year-old is happy for her girlfriend’s new relationship with life coach Jim Curtis. However, she would reportedly prefer to get engaged before Aniston. For those unversed, Cox has been in a relationship with Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid for nearly 12 years.
Courteney Cox is looking to get engaged before Jennifer Aniston, says source
Jennifer Aniston reportedly got approval for her relationship with Jim Curtis from her friend, Courteney Cox. A source told RadarOnline that the latter is “happy for Jen” as her initial doubts about her friend’s rumored boyfriend have seemingly been resolved.
“It’s clear to her the guy’s heart is in the right place and his intentions are honorable – and Jen’s told her she sees a long-term future with him,” they added. Allegedly, if the hypnotherapist proposed to the “The Morning Show” star, she would probably not take much time to walk down the aisle. This has reportedly created a sense of urgency for Cox.
The insider claimed that the “Scream” actor seemed to be “pressuring” her partner, Johnny McDaid, to pop the question. She would allegedly like to get engaged before her best friend. According to the outlet, it would be a “bittersweet” moment for Cox if Aniston gets married first.
The “Friends” alum has been in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend. In 2014, the pair got engaged as Cox took to social media to announce the same. However, by the end of the following year, the couple called off their engagement. After some time, they got back together but are yet to get engaged again.
The source revealed the reason behind the delay. They claimed that the two have decided “several times” to put a ring on it again. However, the Snow Patrol member seemingly “always finds an excuse to back down.” As per the recent report, Cox wants to get engaged soon, as she “wants to be first.”
