After Erika Kirk said publicly that she forgives the young man who shot her husband, it generated many reactions. But Tim Allen seemed to be the one most affected by this, as he had struggled to forgive the man who killed his father when he was 11 years old.

This gesture from Erika inspired him to finally let go of the grudge he had held for all these years.

“When Erika Kirk spoke the words on the man who killed her husband: “That man… that young man… I forgive him.” That moment deeply affected me.” Tim Allen wrote on his X account, “I have struggled for over 60 years to forgive the man who killed my Dad. I will say those words now as I type: ‘I forgive the man who killed my father.’ Peace be with you all.”

In November 1964, Allen’s father was killed by a drunk driver. The death had a lasting impact on him. His father’s death affected everything from his relationship with God to his belief systems. Allen now appears to be learning to let go, marking a significant change for him.

Meanwhile, Charlie Kirk’s death continues to be one of the most talked-about events worldwide. Moreover, opinions on the shooting also continue to differ.
