A source revealed that the former has been urging his father to leave Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew out of the family, but the monarch feels differently. He doesn’t intend to cut all ties with the pair to show loyalty and ensure that the Duchess of York doesn’t want them to act independently, possibly to avoid a similar situation to that with the Sussexes.
Nevertheless, the Prince of Wales has held deep convictions against his uncle and aunt, whom he feels are a “pair of chancers.” The insider further opined that the look on his face as “he stood next to Andrew at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral said it all.” They alleged that, contrary to the king’s opinions, William thought that the duo was “an embarrassment” and urged his father to take action. Nevertheless, the divorced couple may not see complete expulsion.
Despite William’s requests to banish Ferguson and Andrew from the royal family, Charles will likely employ less extreme approaches. The source believes that they could ban them from appearing alongside the family in public and from gathering, such as at Christmas.
Furthermore, the insider hinted at multiple reasons for the king not wanting to fully cut ties with his brother and his sister-in-law.
