Why Emily Blunt Isn’t Allowed To Talk About The Devil Wears Prada 2

Emily Blunt has revealed that she’s not allowed to say anything about The Devil Wears Prada 2. The highly anticipated sequel has created a lot of buzz over the last few months. However, Blunt remained tight-lipped when it came to sharing details about the movie.

E! News recently interviewed Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt for their upcoming movie, The Smashing Machine. During the interview, Blunt was asked how she felt about shooting The Devil Wears Prada 2 after so much time had passed since the original.

“I can’t tell you anything. I can’t,” Blunt exclaimed. Johnson cut in, jokingly, by adding “I can.” She responded by saying, “No, don’t. You’re not allowed to. I’m not allowed to talk about it. At all.”

Blunt then added, “People have been very excited, and we’re trying to protect it because it’s wonderful. We have the gang back together.”

Although details about the long-awaited sequel are still under wraps, set photos and the look of the characters from the sequel have made their way to the internet. A few months ago, photos of Blunt donning her iconic look from the first movie went viral. Furthermore, the other cast members’ looks have also surfaced online while they were shooting on the streets of New York.

When it comes to details about the story, it is confirmed that the sequel will adapt the second book in the series, Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns. However, it is yet to be seen how faithful the adaptation will be. The first movie made quite a few changes from its source material, so if the sequel follows suit, the movie could have its own identity, barring a few key details.

Fans of the original film have eagerly awaited the sequel since its announcement. Released in 2006, The Devil Wears Prada quickly became a classic in the comedy genre. The movie features Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci in the lead roles. The original movie’s director, David Frankel, is also returning to the sequel along with the leads, and the film is currently set to release on May 1, 2026.
