Kelly Stafford Turns Matthew Stafford’s Groin Injury Into a Hilarious Vasectomy Joke

Kelly Stafford turned a stressful moment into comedy after her husband, Matthew Stafford, suffered a painful groin injury. On her new podcast episode, she joked that the Los Angeles Rams quarterback’s injury was “God’s way of taking care” of the vasectomy he had been delaying for the past two years.

During the Los Angeles Rams’ match against the Philadelphia Eagles, quarterback Matthew Stafford suffered a groin injury in the third quarter, leaving fans and his wife, Kelly Stafford, concerned.

Speaking on the September 23 episode of her podcast The Morning After, Kelly described her initial panic. She said, “I had a little bit of a deep breath moment when Matthew was slow to get up after a play.” She explained that because she couldn’t see a replay, she was texting friends at home for updates to understand the extent of the hit. However, the injury did not prevent him from finishing the game. Soon, the football star returned to the game and later reassured her, saying, “Yeah, I got my nuts crushed.”

On her podcast, Kelly joked that the painful incident was “God’s way of taking care of your vasectomy” since Matthew had been putting off for two years. “As women, we don’t know what this feels like, right?” she admitted. She later added, “God has ways of stepping in when you don’t get your s*** done.”

Matthew himself also addressed the hit during his post-game press conference. With a smile, the quarterback acknowledged what happened without going into detail. He said, “I think you know what happened there.” The NFL player also added, “I got kneed where you don’t want to get kneed, so I was just taking a moment for myself to figure that one out. But I’m good.”

Kelly and Matthew Stafford tied the knot in 2015. They share four children together.
