Tori Spelling recently recalled her date with Charlie Sheen in an episode of her podcast, misSPELLING, and what she thought of him at that time. The latter has been in the spotlight as of late thanks to the release of his memoir, “The Book of Sheen,” and his Netflix documentary, aka Charlie Sheen. Both works offer a deep, unfiltered look at the actor’s life and career, as well as personal troubles.
Tori Spelling talks about going on a date with Charlie Sheen
In the latest episode of her podcast, misSPELLING, Tori Spelling discussed Charlie Sheen’s life and career and her history with him. She recalled a mutual friend of theirs, Kevin, telling her that Sheen wanted to ask her out on a date.
“I was nervous…I didn’t want to go alone,” Spelling shared on the podcast. The “Stori Telling” author revealed that she went to dinner at an Italian restaurant with Sheen, Kevin, and the latter’s parents.
Spelling said that although she and Sheen didn’t form a romantic attraction, she realized the latter was “unimaginably intelligent.” “Off the charts,” she added. The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum also highlighted his humor, calling him “charming, smart, funny, witty.” “This guy was it,” she further stated.
The 52-year-old later touched upon a story mentioned in “The Book of Sheen,” where the Two and a Half Men actor revealed he had to hide from authorities after a legal incident. She revealed that Kevin approached her, asking her to help hide Sheen.
“I’m standing in my laundry room and Kevin comes in and says, ‘T, I need to ask you a favor…Can we hide Charlie?'” Spelling explained, adding that Sheen’s situation was “bad news.” She recalled wondering what would happen if she hid him, who was being searched for via helicopters.
Spelling said she refused to help Kevin and Sheen. Notably, the latter mentioned in his book that he didn’t blame the Trick actress for not helping him. However, he pondered over the story he would have told if she had helped.
Spelling’s comments about Sheen come a few weeks after the latter revealed in an exclusive Page Six interview that he had been sober and celibate for eight years.
