The “Open Arms” singer has issued a strong warning to her fans, asking them to stop creating AI-generated images and songs featuring her likeness.
SZA addressed the issue in a series of Instagram Stories on September 19. She explained that a recent trend has involved people posting pictures of themselves posing alongside AI-generated versions of SZA. The 35-year-old wrote, “Hey, I hate AI. If you f*** w me PLEASE don’t make any AI images of me or songs.”
SZA elaborated on the dangers of AI, highlighting its environmental impact and harm to other communities. She explained that even a seemingly “stupid photo” carries consequences. The rapper wrote, “Ppl and children are dying from the harm n pollution Ai energy centers are creating. A stupid photo is not worth polluting and harming under served communities. Thank you.”

Through her Instagram Stories, the Grammy-winning singer made it clear she is criticizing the creation of AI content involving her voice or likeness. Warning about its dangers, she urged her followers to refrain from generating any AI images or songs of her.
The “Kill Bill” hitmaker added, “Ps. PLEASE KNOW EVERY TIME U USE OR PROMPT AI SOMEONE IN a forgotten community IS SUFFERING eventually the effects will reach everyone. By then it’ll be too late.”

In addition to her warnings, SZA shared an AI-generated “meet-and-greet” photo of herself, writing, “I’ve seen dozens of these.” She concluded with, “Y’all, I’m not crazy I swear. I’m just tryna save the children.”
