iShowSpeed, who has become one of the most recognizable figures online with his hilarious and energetic antics, recently opened up about his mental health during his 24-hour non-stop broadcast in his USA tour. Fans flooded in with messages of support after this revelation. Although, as happens often in the online world, another topic soon drowned this one.
iShowSpeed says he feels ‘alone’ and speaks about his mental health
The popular YouTuber is known for his viral moments and eccentric energy, which have made him one of the most prominent internet personalities in the world despite his young age. He is usually involved in fun antics, rarely ever deviating into anything serious.
However, during his grueling USA tour, where he is livestreaming around the clock, iShowSpeed admitted to needing therapy. With over 500 consecutive hours on air already, he has had his subscribers hooked. But on Day 23 of the marathon, the YouTuber seemingly had a breakdown. He took a pause from his usual eccentric self and admitted that he felt alone and that he needed to talk to a therapist.
“Listen, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. It’s a lot. I need a therapist. I need a therapist, I need to have a talk with a therapist. My mental is like…” Speed stated at the 2 hours and 56 minutes mark in the video. He added, “I need a therapist. Like, I need somebody to talk to. Cuz I feel alone. I feel like nobody understands me.”
Quite expectedly, fans immediately flooded the chat with messages of support. But unfortunately, the conversation digressed quickly as Peter Lenehan, who claimed to be a key figure in developing the World Wide Web, introduced himself in a random diner in South Dakota.
Nevertheless, hopefully, this conversation about iShowSpeed’s mental health will continue at some point in the future.
