Jimmy Kimmel ‘Absolutely Livid’ With ABC Suspension, Staff Shocked

In what continues to be a difficult time for talk shows and their hosts, ABC has pulled late-night host Jimmy Kimmel off the air indefinitely over controversial comments he made about the shooting of Charlie Kirk. Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been on air for over two decades.

Jimmy Kimmel previously hinted that he would quit when his current contract expires in May. This may be the push that ensures it.

Jimmy Kimmel reportedly furious over pre-empt, plans to end ABC relationship

Shortly after Jimmy Kimmel Live! was pulled off the air, just hours before it was scheduled to start filming, the host was seen leaving the premises without comment. Reports stated that this ordeal left the veteran host outraged.

Sources revealed that this could be the final straw ending Kimmel’s relationship with ABC. According to a source who spoke to DailyMail, “This is the last straw and Jimmy is now looking to forever break his relationship with ABC forever.” The source added, “Stephen Colbert is already looking to get Jimmy on his show as a guest in the next couple of days or within the week.”

On Wednesday, an ABC spokesperson revealed that Jimmy Kimmel Live! would be off-air indefinitely.

Reported reactions of Jimmy Kimmel’s staff over suspension

Reports indicated that Kimmel’s staff were confused and angry over this sudden development. Staff members said they had never seen Jimmy “this angry” (via Mint). The producer further said that the crew was wandering around like “aimless cows,” with nothing else to do.

Other members of the staff expressed their frustration and brought forth the bigger debate of free speech in the country. So, at this moment, most remain confused and angry at the development. Perhaps, there will be more clarity soon.

But it seems unlikely that Jimmy Kimmel Live! will continue normally again.
