Donald Trump Praises Prince William & Appears to Leave Prince Harry Out of His State Banquet Speech

Donald Trump took to the podium at the Windsor Castle State Banquet and went out of his way to praise Prince William and Kate Middleton, but left Prince Harry out of his speech completely. The night of formality and flattery was not lost on Trump, who made sure people walked away talking. By omitting Harry from his speech, the president drew attention, with many observers reading it as a deliberate swipe at the Duke of Sussex.

Donald Trump referred to Prince William as ‘remarkable son’ in his speech

Speaking before 160 guests at the Windsor Castle State Banquet, Donald Trump swooned over the Prince and Princess of Wales in his speech. However, his subtle but deliberate omission of Prince Harry from his speech caught headlines. According to GB News, the Grand St. George’s Hall echoed Trump’s words. In his carefully crafted speech, the president called William a “remarkable son,” adding that he thought the Prince of Wales would have “an unbelievable success in future.”

He didn’t just stop there. The compliments flowed as easily toward Kate as well, who he said looked “so radiant and so healthy.” His focus was firmly on the couple — the future face of the monarchy. What caught attention, though, was not what Trump said, but what he chose not to: no mention of Prince Harry even once. For a speech meant to honor the royal family, the omission felt pointed, playing into the ongoing conversation about Harry’s strained relationship with the royal family.

Whether leaving Prince Harry out of his State Banquet speech was intentional or simply an oversight, people noticed Donald Trump’s praise for Prince William, while there was no mention of the younger brother. For supporters of William, it reinforced his role as the steady heir, but for fans of Harry, it read as another slight at a prince. At a banquet built on tradition and togetherness, the silence around the duke’s name may have said more than the praise itself.
