Leonardo joined the ensemble cast of One Battle After Another at the London premiere to promote the movie. At the London Premiere, Leonardo also paid a heartfelt tribute to the celebrated actor, Robert Redford.
He expressed his sentiments for the late actor and told The Standard, “Very sad news, very sad day. We lost an absolute legend in our industry.”
He added, “We have a film tonight that we’re premiering, that is a political thriller in a lot of ways, and he was the one that created the foundation for all that, with All The President’s Men, Three Days Of The Condor.”
“But more so than anything, I’ve said it over and over again, he was an avid environmental advocate, was a member of the NRDC (Natural Resources Defence Council) like me, and he was a hero to a lot of people in our industry, including myself, so it’s a huge loss.”
On the work front, Leonardo is set to release One Battle After Another, marking his return to the big screen after nearly two years. His upcoming movie is a black comedy action thriller, featuring a star-studded cast that includes Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, and a newcomer, Chase Infiniti. The movie is directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and is a loose adaptation of the novel, Vineland, written by Thomas Pynchon. The movie is set to hit theaters on September 26, 2025, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release.
