Kris Jenner’s MAC Cosmetics Photo Leak Had the Momager’s Approval, Source Claims

When it comes to marketing skills, Kris Jenner can offer a few tips following her latest MAC Cosmetics photo leak saga. The reality TV star was furious at the brand for posting a since-deleted photo of her from their forthcoming campaign. However, sources have cleared the air, stating that the leak was staged to showcase her marketing skills.

Kris Jenner’s MAC Cosmetics photo leak is ‘all part of the machine,’ source claims

Kris Jenner went on a rampage when MAC Cosmetics first posted a black-and-white glamour shot of her before deleting it later on September 16. She even commented on the post, calling out the brand. According to #ShuterScoop, the 69-year-old reality TV star wrote, “Check your DMs right now. Who leaked this??” Following this, even her fans came in support of her.

But now it seems this was all staged to create hype for the product. Revealing the details of the photo leak, a source told the outlet that “Nothing goes out without Kris’ approval.” This whole move was “classic Kris — stage a leak, act outraged, and watch the internet do her marketing.” The insider added, “Every photo, every supposed mistake — it’s all part of the machine.”

And it seems it’s true. Hours later, the brand released a follow‑up video, showing Jenner in shock after hearing about the photo leak. In the video, she said, “What do you mean the photo got leaked? You can’t do one thing right? And get the attorney on the phone.”

Soon after, the brand reposted the earlier deleted headshot of Jenner on Instagram with the caption, “Kris Jenner wears MAC Studio Fix in shade NC20.” As per Page Six, “after a surprise leak hit the internet,” the company even released a press release to “officially” introduce the business mogul as the “newest face” of their “‘I Wear MAC’ campaign.”

MAC’s latest campaign marks Jenner’s first ad campaign since undergoing a facelift earlier this year. She was thrilled when the brand contacted her for the campaign. The star spoke about it in an interview with Elle, saying she has “been a huge fan of the brand for so long.” The momager also revealed that she was “excited to finally get to work” with MAC and that she “love the campaign.”
